In 2000, Ken and Michel Porter founded Soul’s Harbour Rescue Mission in Regina. It grew to be the largest service provider for the homeless in Saskatchewan, providing over 100,000 meals yearly and sleeping 90 people each night. 10 years later, the couple moved to Halifax and Soul’s Harbour Rescue Mission was born. Since then, the couple have helped hundreds off the streets and into new lives.
Why choose Natural Gas?
As the Porters say “when we won the Aviva campaign to commercialize our kitchen, we chose natural gas for our new furnace and stove. No oil tank to fill, no propane to deal with. It’s on instantly. Plus working with Heritage Gas has been a breeze. No only do they have hassle-free service but they’ve even lent a hand serving meals to our guests.”
