DARTMOUTH – The Canadian Gas Association (CGA) presenting Heritage Gas with a Safety Award for Excellence is a tribute to the dedication of the company’s employees to their own safety and that of their co-workers.
Heritage Gas was one of five CGA members to be recognized at the organization’s operations, engineering and integrity conference, held April 2-4 at the Westin Nova Scotian Hotel in Halifax. The company received the Corporate Safety Award for Employee Safety.
“Our employees put safety at the centre of everything they do. That commitment to safety makes Heritage Gas a better company for our workers, our customers and our partners in the community,” said John Hawkins, interim President of Heritage Gas. “Our management team is grateful for the tremendous effort put in by our employees to make Heritage Gas a national leader in safety.”
Heritage Gas Senior Manager Ernest Douglas accepted the award on behalf of the company’s workforce.
The CGA’s Safety Awards for Excellence are intended to mark significant milestones in the natural gas industry’s journey towards a systematic and dedicated approach to health and safety management.
