In Our Community

Our natural gas technicians continue to ensure we have a safe and reliable gas distribution system. They maintain safe operation of our natural gas system by monitoring customer gas meters, identifying underground gas lines through locate requests, activating new customers, and much more.

Our construction team has continued to install natural gas pipelines in our neighbourhoods, ensuring we are contributing to the growth of our communities. In the weeks ahead, when you see Heritage Gas teams doing construction work, please maintain a minimum distance of 6 feet. As businesses re-open and more people start mobilizing, we will continue to implement steps to maintain a flow of traffic and minimize disruption to all service areas.

Planning for the Future

To help our communities recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, we will need to rebuild our local economy. This is an opportunity to invest in innovative, low-carbon technologies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and build a greener economy that helps address climate change. Learn about how low-carbon hydrogen gas, along with renewable electricity and renewable natural gas, will help us achieve our climate action goals in Nova Scotia.
